“ What a wonderful experience this shop is there is nothing like it in the area. The most comfortable environment, relaxing music, an array of delicious homemade Portuguese and Brazilian pastries and sandwiches. The owner Elizabeth makes you feel like family right off the bat and has such a warm friendliness about her. This is a coffee shop and I haven't even gotten to the coffee yet! The coffee quality and flavor is also leagues above local competition. Anyone who has a complaint about this shop has not had a good day prior to entering. I couldn't recommend this place more! ”

The coffee was excellent, if you enjoy iced coffee beverages, the Beach Day was so yummy! “ We office above Serra doce and although I have occasionally over the years grabbed a quick bite from its predecessor I had not eaten anything since it changed management possibly a year ago and I just wanted to take a moment to leave a very positive review I have had a couple different items from their menu and have really enjoyed all of them. I also very much enjoy their Cuban coffee. They’re always very pleasant and efficient and so I give them my thumbs up to go and check them out when you’re on Beach Street. ”

“ I frequently come here with my wife in the mornings to get a breakfast sandwich and a cappuccino. The food and pastries are all very satisfying and, whenever I go, the atmosphere is always relaxed. The people who work here care about their customers and even bothered to remember my name when I returned (thank you!). Everyone here is friendly and genuinely appreciates your patronage. Please be aware that this is a small operation and everything is made to order. Things take time and this isn’t Starbucks. I’ve read some of the 1 star reviews before making this and, as someone who regularly spends time in this cafe, I don’t sympathize with the impatience or bad-faith reads, at all. I think the most I’ve waited for an order was about 5ish minutes. As a tip from a local: there’s a botanical garden directly opposite the cafe on the other side of the road if you prefer to take a stroll while you sip! ”

“ It was a very nice place to stop and get a light lunch, breakfast, or a coffee at. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Also a big plus for me were all the gluten free options! They had about 5 pastry options and every sandwich they make could be substituted with gluten free bread. It was a very nice find for my parents and I while in Daytona, I just wish we would have found them earlier in our trip. ”
